We are the product of our communities, beginning with our families. We are at bottom social beings, and our self-consciousness is in essence a communal consciousness. Our God-consciousness leads us to the recognition of brotherhood and sisterhood. From here comes our desire to build communities that support spiritual growth and the art of integral living.
